Are you looking for ways students can practice playing pitch? These Pitch Pattern Centre Cards are a loved activity in my classroom and are created to support early learners.

There are 24 different pitch patterns that include mi, sol and la pitches.

Cards 1-12 include just mi-sol patterns.

Cards 13-24 include mi, sol and la patterns.

There are three different sets of cards 1-24.

The first is simply colour-coded and is suitably matched to use with boomwhackers, resonator bars, glockenspiels or desk bells.

The second set includes the colours and the note letter names.

The third set includes the colours and the solfege note names.

Each set uses just two lines of the staff which is a great introduction to reading notes on the staff.

I love popping these at one of my rotation centres and let the students independently practice playing the pitch patterns.
